Happy New Year!!

Happy New Year from the Hyde Hooligans!! It's about 5am, and I'm still up because I finally finished updating the website! I've separated the blog here from the website as it seemed to have its own look and feel to it that we wanted to keep. I should be sleeping, but I just couldn't help myself updating this as well since it's been so long since I've written anything. The website is our first huge accomplishment of the year just 4 days into 2019! Please visit and Bookmark it for later:

I'm not typically one for New Years' Resolutions, so in December I embarked on a fitness challenge instead. I wanted to end the year on an accomplishment rather than wait for the new year to get here before I do something. So I did 30 burpees for 30 days. It was a pain in the ass for sure, and another one of my goals was to be able to do all 30 in one set nonstop. I didn't quite make that second goal (I got up to 25 in a row, which is still great), but I did complete my original goal of doing 30 burpees for 30 days. I think I'm going to start giving myself goals to END the year with rather than ones to start the new one.

Outside of that, I spent a lot of much needed downtime with the family. I've been so swamped with networking, building stories, pitch decks, the website, and editing that I really didn't take much time for myself the past few months. I did, however, make time for my kid on Sundays for hockey practice, which was my reward every week for putting in so much time. I'd spend time with my wife as well all of Sunday and will do my best to keep my weekends open for myself (have been throughout December so far since nobody is really filming).

This next year is going to be fantastic in terms of business and upcoming projects we've got coming up! We're already partnering up with one of our Hooligans who now goes by The Wandering Kiltsman; more news on that later on. We've also been talking to one of my buddies here in the Bay Area, G. G is the owner and founder of B Co. Creative Agency, and they've been doing some fantastic work! His agency had really helped up kick-start this renewal for our business, which we so desperately needed. In addition to that, the Hooligans attended 2 holiday parties at 2 studios here in the Bay: one at Cinema Exchange, and one at MacHouse. We've worked with Cinema Exchange before on various projects, and we're looking to open up communications with MacHouse after attending their awesome masquerade ball.

All-in-all, 2018 was a huge turn-around for the Hooligans. We've come so far in less than a year - from knowing practically nothing about business but still kicking it off to now pushing to make huge strides in the film community here in the Bay Area.

There's a lot in store for us here, so stay tuned for sure! Happy New Year!!
